From COLORADO SPRINGS
I ordered a large and probably needed a medium - so I can't tell if it was boxy in cut, or just too big (sleeves were too long, shoulders too wide). That was my fault - sometimes I wear a medium, sometimes a large so I cheated up. That said, I returned it instead of exchanging it because it's really not very vented. The only mesh parts are on the sides of the body and the insides of the arms. It is very armored, but so is the Fieldsheer and that jacket is actually mesh all over. Also, the liner on this is a bit cheesy for the price -- and b/c the side that contacts the jacket is a bit sticky, it's a pain to get in. It does have a lot of pockets, and looks good, but... Overall, looks great online, but didn't live up.
Cons Not actually very vented
Yes, I recommend this product.

Jennifer Z., did you end up buying Fieldsheer? Does it feel cooler than the Alpine one?
I'm afraid to buy a brand other than Alpine Stars just because most other brands I've tried seem to have a manly shoulder-to-hip ratio. My old Alpine Stella jacket fits great (less wide shoulders!), but it is too hot for summer.
Since you've come across size problems too, and since you value the all-mesh aspect, I'm interested to know what you finally settled on.
